How to Merge PDF Files:

PDF Merging is the process of combining two or more PDF files together to form one complete PDF file.   The term combine PDF or append PDF is also used to describe merging PDF files.   You can merge a PDF file into an existing PDF file, or create a new PDF file from two or more separate PDF files.  Merging PDF files requires the use of PDF editing software, or other software capable of merging or adding PDF files. The image below shows how to merge PDF documents.

Two PDF Files to Merge

One Merged PDF File

Two PDF files to merge PDF files merge into one PDF file   The result is one combined PDF file
  • Each PDF is a separate file.
  • Both PDF Files are merged into
    one PDF file.

As shown above, PDF files can be merged together to form one PDF file.  Although the second file is appended to the first one, we could also create an entirely new PDF file from two PDF files.  Either way, the result is one completed PDF file merger.  The merged PDF file can be split into individual PDF files just as easily.
